These disclosures are published in compliance with Section 93 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and the Maharashtra Motor Vehicle Aggregator Rules, 2026, which govern the operation of motor vehicle aggregators in the State of Maharashtra.

Fare structure and payments to bus operators and captains

Cityflo Services are operated using buses engaged from bus operators under a written Operator Agreement. Neither our captains (the drivers of the motor vehicles) nor our bus operators receive any share of the fare that our passengers pay. What they are paid does not depend on the fare charged or on how many passengers travel on a service.

1. Share of fare payable to the captain: None. Captains are employed by the bus operator on a fixed monthly salary, paid by that operator irrespective of the number of trips operated, the number of passengers carried or the fares collected.
2. Payment to bus operators: Bus operators are paid an agreed rate of Rs. 60 to Rs. 100 per kilometre operated, depending on the type and capacity of the bus, the route it runs on and the terms of that operator’s agreement. The rate is agreed in advance and is not linked to fares or to passenger numbers.
3. Incentives: No incentive linked to the fare passengers pay, or to the number of passengers carried, is paid to any captain. The only incentive paid is a retention-linked referral bonus, payable to a captain who arranges a replacement captain in their place.
4. Apportioned fare: No part of your fare is apportioned to a captain for any individual trip. Captain salaries and operator payments are determined by the Operator Agreement and are payable regardless of fares collected. Fares Cityflo receives are applied towards those payments and towards vehicle supply, technology, insurance, passenger support and other operating costs.
